Bernie Rubin Of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture Dies Of Coronavirus

BOSTON (CBS) — Bernie Rubin of Bernie & Phyl's furniture died of coronavirus Monday. He was 82 years old.

Rubin had been hospitalized in South Florida.

He and his wife were the faces of the furniture chain that they launched in 1983. They stepped back and turned the business over to their sons a few years ago.

The furniture chain has nine locations throughout New England.
