A 59-year-old Birmingham man has been charged and arrested in last month's theft of patio furniture from a Hoover restaurant. Hoover police on Wednesday announced the arrest of Darryl Varner. He is charged with second-degree theft of property. Authorities said investigators received a tip about Varner's identity after details about the theft were circulated on social media. They secured warrants against him on Friday and he turned himself in on Wednesday.
